Ako Aronui will contribute to the development of our university culture and community through its emphasis on acknowledging and celebrating the values of participants and the university of aroha (compassion), tika (integrity), and pono (respect).  Ako Aronui places manaaki (caring and generosity), oneness, sustainability, and aesthetics at the heart of an ethical and good education, so that a member of the AUT academic community will be able to work in a way which is considered and self-determined. Whakamana – Be empowered and confident in making decisions that support the wellbeing of the AUT community.
