Open Classrooms Week at AUT

May 13 - May 17

Ever wanted to know what makes good lecturers great? Want to see how they engage their students? Keen to learn from the best?

In week 10, the Centre for Learning and Teaching will collaborate with some of AUTs award winning teachers to bring you Open Classrooms Week, Semester 1, 2019.

Open Classrooms Week offers at least one open lecture a day from an award-winning teacher. You’re invited to choose a lecture and sit amongst the students to observe some of our award winners in action. We encourage you to attend and take the opportunity to reflect on your own teaching by seeing how others teach. You can sign up for one or more of the lectures across a range of disciplines and campuses. The week will finish with drinks and nibbles, and a panel discussion with the award winners so you will be able to ask them why they teach the way they do, and talk with others about teaching in general.

Lecture topics are from a range of disciplines and will be held on each campus.
The schedule is on the CFLAT website: http://cflat.aut.ac.nz/event/open-classrooms-week/

Lectures are ‘open’, but you must register because not all have enough seats available for more than three or four visitors. Get in early to avoid missing out on lectures with limited space!

Register by emailing pam.wyse@aut.ac.nz with the number of the session/s you wish to attend.

Please email julia.hallas@aut.ac.nz if you have any questions.
